Collishaw is an artist who is known for installation, sculpture and photography. He was born in Nottingham, 1966 .

He uses photography and video. He is focus’ his work around the gruesome side of the human nature, some of his work involve body wounds from bullets, burning flowers ect. He got inspiration from a pathology textbook which had an image of a wound from an ice pick.

i like this photo because its multiple photos making one and it makes the image as a whole look a lot more interesting along with how dominant his colours are on a dark background.

For my character design i have drawn out my two characters that i have used for my work. The characters are: one boy and one girl and they have two different forms; their normal and mutated form. The reason why they have two different forms is because during their performance something bad happens and then they get cursed by one of the other performers and that is how they become mutated.

The reason why this happens is because this isn’t a normal circus its a spooky circus so there are a lot of abnormal activities that occur within the setting.

for the mind map i gathered words that i thought were relatable towards the word circus and it’s stereotypes that are attached with it.

my initial thoughts about this project was quite positive because i like animations and i thought it was going to be easy however, when it came to thinking of senarios that was when my thought changed.

i’ve communicated information through my blog by doing my artist analysis’ and explaining all my work ive uploaded on here so far.

i feel like discussing has been an effective element for me because as i spoke to others i constantly came up with new ideas about what i want to do.

flipbook: i enjoyed making it and i like the outcome however i don’t like how long its taken to make it and how small ive had to draw it.

stop motion: i like the way my idea portrayed itself in the final animation however i didn’t like how my characters look because i had to use blue tack instead of split pins.

honestly i didn’t really use my research to help my work but it was what our work was based off of.

the materials i used for this project are: flipbooks, large pieces of paper, pen, pencil and colouring markers.

the split pins were useful but some of the characters ripped because of them and the movement was fairly loose. the blue tac was also useful for keeping the characters body parts together however it was annoying because the character kept unsticking and the movement was stiff.

i dont feel like there would be any skills to be taken forward into the next project from this one.

i am majority happy with this project and everything i have done with it.

i have not yet fulfilled everything but soon i will.

I have made a flipbook and a collaborative stop motion animation. My flipbook one is a motorcyclist jumping through a loop of fire successfully, and my stop motion is of a creepy circus where they all do their performances and stuff goes wrong during their performances. In the first scene my partner with this project made it, the second scene (my scene) was about these two fire breathers and they are performing an act then as they are doing one of their stunts one of the performers bump into the serpent girl and then she gets mad and turns them into demands and finally in the last joint scene a love affair takes place between two females and a male and the male and female relationship went downhil a new love blossems between the hoop actress and the clown girl.

Fanelli is an artist who illustrates children books. She was born in 1969 in Florence and she studied at the liceo classico michaelangelo before coming to England where she studied at three diffrent places in london. she has done illustrations for various news agencies.

To me i see her work as different because of how strange it all is however its very appealing to look at because its not everyday work that looks like this is seen or done by multiple people.

Muybridge is an artist who specialised in photography mainly taking stop motion pictures. He was born on April 9th 1830 and died May 8th 1904.

He lived in Kingston upon thames, then in his later life moved to New York then San Francisco. He worked as a bookseller when he lived in America. He was educated at the university of Pennsylvania for a year and has produced many photos that include people as well as animals.

He invented the zoopraxiscope in 1879. It was a machine that allowed him to project up to two hundred single images on a screen. 

I personally like his work because i hlike how smooth the animation is without having loads of frames. The technique that he used was having multiple cameras and a string and when he pulled the string each camera would go off one after another.
