Eadweard Muybridge

Muybridge is an artist who specialised in photography mainly taking stop motion pictures. He was born on April 9th 1830 and died May 8th 1904.

He lived in Kingston upon thames, then in his later life moved to New York then San Francisco. He worked as a bookseller when he lived in America. He was educated at the university of Pennsylvania for a year and has produced many photos that include people as well as animals.

He invented the zoopraxiscope in 1879. It was a machine that allowed him to project up to two hundred single images on a screen.

I personally like his work because i hlike how smooth the animation is without having loads of frames. The technique that he used was having multiple cameras and a string and when he pulled the string each camera would go off one after another.
